Recovery & Use of Old Corrugated Containers (OCC)

The recovery rate for OCC/Unbleached Kraft papers held approximately stable in 2016 at 92.7 percent. Domestic consumption of OCC rose 0.3 percent in 2016, while exports increased 1.7 percent.  However, these gains were offset by higher domestic containerboard consumption, leading to a nearly stable recovery rate.
